A great lecture series by our beloved and imprisoned brother Dr ‘Ali AlTamimi حفظه الله elaborating the characteristics of the ’saved sect’ which is the Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah as the Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم said,

” Indeed the Children of Isra’il divided into seventy one sects and my Ummah will divide into seventy two sects, all of them will be in the fire except one and that is the Jama’ah.” [Sunan Ibn Majah, Sahih]

Also The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلم said,” What happened to the Children of Isra’il will happen with my Ummah, just as one shoe resembles the other, to the point that if one of them had intercourse with his mother openly, there would be someone who did that in my Ummah. The Children of Isra’il split into seventy two sects and my Ummah will split into seventy three sects, all of which are in the Fire except one sect.” They asked, “Which is that one, 0 Messenger of Allah?” He replied, “That which I and my Companions are upon.” [Sunan AlTirmidhi, Hasan]
